The declaration was made: “God will heal and restore our souls.” The response is, “Yes, indeed, when we decide to return to Him out of our free-will choice.” So let us turn to the Father of mercies with sincere repentance for what we did and genuineness in our hearts, in order to become fully His anew after having drifted far away.

The free-will choice
On one side of our lives is God the Father, the Alpha and Omega of the universe, with His infinite life, light and love; together with the peace, joy, hope, love and happiness of Heaven: infinite bliss for eternity. On the other side of our lives is Satan, the prince of the abyss and Continue reading
Are we ready?
Are we ready to glorify to God the Father with the entirety of our hearts, minds and souls, when the moment of our individual testing arrives in relation to our fidelity and faith? Or are we going to give glory to him who has desired nothing but the ruin of every dimension of our lives Continue reading
The disposition of our hearts
To what extent do we genuinely possess Love – the very Presence of God the Father – in the heart of our souls? To what degree do we sincerely have true love in our hearts: the love which is both reciprocal and reciprocates Infinite Love? To what extent are we ready, at any given moment, during the course of our daily lives, to set aside the incessantly Continue reading
Who is God the Father? He is my Father!
God is my Father! How many of us have really reflected upon the inherent reality of this statement, a statement which also happens to be a fact? Have we ever truly considered the real, personal meaning of this simple, plain, but profoudly powerful fact, within the intricate structure of our daily lives? For example, what does it mean to us personally that Continue reading
What do we want?
“What do men want? To become gods or to make gods?”(Augustine of Hippo, Dolbeau 6.3).
Loving our neighbor as ourselves
In what ways are we loving our neighbor as ourselves, in actuality, and not one iota less than ourselves, especially in the neighbor’s hour of need?
Seek to know Our Father
Love God our Father, the Alpha and the Omega, the Creator of all things, with all your mind, heart, strength and soul, for He loves you – even though you may not yet know Him. Love Him and seek to get to know Him because He is all-mighty, dependable, faithful and true.
The love of God the Father
The love of God our Father is endless: infinite, as He is Infinity. Yet many do not want Him, do not know Him and do not want to get to know Him. What has He done for you, that you treat Him like this? That you marginalize, neglect and abandon Him even though He Is Infinite Love?
To the stones of the world
Love exists no longer now because the world has become extremely cold. And yet it would not need to be so, had you to return into God the Father’s arms. “Return, return” Our Father says; indeed He will set you completely free. Yet you neither return nor listen, because your heart has turned to stone. Continue reading
Spiritual health and illness – 6 – Spiritual illness
When a person is spiritually unhealthy, spiritually ill, the heart of his soul - the nous – ends up being directed and dominated by reason, deifying the latter, instead of imbuing reason with grace, thus achieving the appropriate balance between faith and reason. Attuning our nous, the heart of our soul, through purifying Continue reading
Sainthood – The call to holiness in our times
These days many, if not most, of us tend to consider ourselves lucky if we manage to get ourselves to Purgatory. And this statement, unfortunately, applies also to priests, many of whom are setting the bar too low, by focusing primarily on the basics without concurrently retaining the fullness of deification in mind. But Continue reading
What is deification or theosis? – Clarification
Deification or theosis is the participation of man in the uncreated Divine Light (Met. Hierotheos, 2010, The science of spiritual medicine). Deification does not simply constitute “the forgiveness of sins through the Holy Spirit but man’s participation in the Holy Spirit. The forgiveness of sins is not the same as participation in the Continue reading
The meaning of illumination
The illumination of one’s soul, better known as the illumination of conscience, is in both essence and fact the healing of the soul that is ill, for it entails reopening the heart of the soul, the nous, to God the Father and His Truth, Jesus Christ; hence, to Knowledge – true (interior, experiential) knowledge – of God, after it has Continue reading
Faith, knowledge of God, and the deification of man
Two kinds of faith exist: faith derived from hearing and learning, and faith derived from theoria. Although by no means separate from each other, these two kinds of faith are different from each other and naturally result in different kinds of knowledge of God. Faith derived from hearing and learning (simple faith) results Continue reading
The need for Confession
“If we learn to open ourselves to God, we avoid many problems which are the result of the inner isolation of our soul. Confession . . . abolishes the monologue with ourselves and opens up a dialogue with the living God” (Met. Hierotheos, The illness and cure of the soul, p. 174).
The Father and the child
You came to me bearing roses, from the Core of your Divine Heart to the heart of my soul, as a token and symbol of your Infinite Love. You knew how to woo me; you came after me and knew how to win my heart over, so that I would return to live in your Divine Heart. And when I decided to return, you opened the door for Continue reading
Created for love
We have been created for love, by Love Himself. How can we, therefore, possibly live rather than just exist, if we keep on insisting on rejecting Love? And how can we love both others and ourselves, if we do not allow ourselves to know Love?
Infinite Love is His Name
Infinite Love is the Name of God our Almighty Father; He is Tenderness, Softness, Sweetness and Gentleness. And yet, despite all this Love, all this boundless goodness and generosity – and for free, too – you stay away. You stay away, you remain detached and distant from your Omnipotent Father who created Continue reading
The joy of the Father
If only you knew the divine joy that God, our Almighty Father, would unexpectedly inundate you with, had you to open the door of your heart to Him even slightly. He can never be outdone in surprises and generosity, because He is the most tender, sweet and loving Father. Try Him and you will find out.
Pleasing Our Father
God the Father is pleased with so little! He simply wants us to love Him with all our hearts, minds and strength, as He loves us. Try Him for yourself and you will find out.
The role of free will
Free will, misused, is the most terrible thing one can ever have, for it leads us to live in direct estrangement from God.
The Parental love of the Father
You picked me up from among the dead and plunged me deeply into Your Divine Heart. You did not delegate the job of finding me, but descended from Your throne to search for me Yourself. With intense solicitude and love, You nestled me closely while purifying me thoroughly. So that You could Continue reading
The Father is Beauty and Love
God the Almighty Father is Beauty and Love: beauty and love unparalleled anywhere else. Come home to Him. He wants you, He desires you, with an intensity and profundity of love that you cannot even begin to imagine. Come home! Come home to Beauty and Love, do not deprive yourself any longer.
Fiat Mihi
“Now and for the future My eyes are open and My ears attentive to prayer offered in this place, for now I have chosen and consecrated this Temple, for My Name to be there for ever; My eyes and My Heart will constantly be there” (2 Chr 7:15-16).
To the stones of the world
Love exists no longer because the world has become cold. Yet it does not need to be so, had you to return into the Father’s arms. “Return, return” our Father says, indeed He will set you free. Yet you neither return nor listen, because your heart has turned to stone. What has the world bribed you with, to have made you sell your heart away? Money, power, position? Or the vanity of your ‘true’ Continue reading
The Father’s Heart
His Divine Heart aches with sorrow at your distance from Him. Yes, He feels even though He is the Almighty God, because He is Infinite Love. He cannot but feel. So is this really and truly how you want your Father to feel, in relation to you?
You do not want Him
He loves you, to an extent that you cannot even begin to imagine. Yet you do not want Him. Why? What has He ever done to you, for you to treat Him in such a manner?
Returning to the Father
(From Devotion to the Divine Heart of God the Father, 2nd ed., 2011).
Fiat
Love wants you with a burning, unquenchable desire in His Heart. Will you say “yes?”
