Continual prayer

Continual prayer is, “the perpetual and living communion of man with God, made possible when man receives within himself the gift of prayer. This gift is given by God . . . it remains perpetually within them, sometimes drawing man toward communion and union with God, and sometimes itself cooperating with man’s prayer . . . [Thus, it is] the fruit of man’s cooperation with the spiritual gift mystically present and operative within him” (Mantzaridis, G.I. [1984]. The mystical experience of deification. In The deification of man, p. 92).
