To the people – 4

How shall I give you up, Ephraim? How shall I surrender you, Israel? How shall I make you as Admah? How shall I set you as Zeboim? (Hos 11:8).

The consensual silence of man in the face of the most horrid neglect of Him who is infinite love is abominable (Dn 9:27, 11:31, 12:11). It is the silence of those who are neither hot, nor cold (Rv 3:16) – the silence of the lukewarm. The silence Continue reading “To the people – 4”

To the people – 3

Plead with your mother, plead; for she is not My wife, neither am I her husband. And let her put away her harlotries from her face and her adulteries from her breasts (Hos 2:4).

Those who profess to love Him, do not love Him. They love Him only with their lips as their hearts are very far away. Under a ceaseless variety of rationalizations, they do not tender Him with care, for love – true love – is missing from their hearts, minds and souls.  Continue reading “To the people – 3”

To the people – 2

From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from My ordinances and have not kept them. Return unto Me and I will return unto you, says HaShem of hosts. But you say, “Wherein shall we return? Will a man rob God?” Yet you rob Me (Mal 3:7-8).

To the people – 1

The Father and the Mother sacrificed their only Son, divine and human, while Christ died tortured on the Cross for them. Yet this people does not care.

Return, O Israel, unto HaShem your God, for you have stumbled in your iniquity (Hos 14:2).

A voice in the desert, the barren wilderness, cries out to God’s own people:

Not even the slightest spark of reverence exists in His Presence any longer. All is dead despite the appearance of being alive, for love in the hearts of this people has grown cold and bitter. Love Himself is neglected and abandoned. Nothing is offered to Him, that He desires and has ceaselessly begged for. Continue reading “To the people – 1”

Meeting the Lord God of hosts

“Behold, HaShem passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and broke in pieces the rocks before HaShem; but HaShem was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but HaShem was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake a fire, but HaShem was not in the fire. And after Continue reading “Meeting the Lord God of hosts”

The Upper Room – 2

It is in the quiet, the stillness and the silence, that we are able to enter fully into the Upper Room of the heart of our souls, the nous. However, our ability to effectively enter into the Upper Room depends on the degree to which we allow ourselves to become purified from our ongoing sinfulness, by openly Continue reading “The Upper Room – 2”
